White cats with blue eyes breed. It depends on the breed a white cat with blue eyes may be a foreign white Khao manee British shorthair munchkin sphynx Devon Rex Cornish Rex Maine Coon Norwegian Forest cat or a domestic mixed breed. Two main breeds of white cats with blue eyes and most commonly kept as pets are the Ragdoll and Turkish Angora cat. However other cats have an extra gene that blocks the furs color so they have white coats and blue eyes.
Blue eyed cats have captured the hearts of humans around the world but not all breeds have blue eyes. White Angora kittens as adult cats are very affectionate and loving character. Albinism occurs when the coat contains a reduced number of pigment cells melanocytes whereas non-albino white cats have the normal number of melanocytes but they have been masked by the W gene.
Named for their gorgeous white paws the Snowshoe breed features blue eyes. However such cats are usually deaf on that ear which is blue eyes. It is one of its most common colors that at one point the breed was called a British blue This breed comes in a variety of colors.
In the cat world white cats with blue eyes are very special kitties. Most kittens will be born with blue eyes which change color as they mature. Ragdolls are known for sparkling blue eyes but not all Ragdolls have this color.
The answer is British shorthair. Full white kittens will either have blue or amber eyes or possibly one of each called Odd Eyes or Heterochromia. Blue eyes can range from a pale sky blue all the way to a deep and exceptional sapphire color.
